I listened to the novel Steelheart while I traveled and every down moment I had this last week. I listened to it on Audible on my phone. (Never tried it? You can pick two books for free just for trying it here)  Easy and convenient.

 

My thoughts:

Genre: Young Adult novel, fantasy book
The cover is okay. Honestly, I wouldn’t have picked it if it wasn’t Sanderson that wrote it. hahaha. I generally love everything he writes, so I was willing to give it a try.
This book was clean- no swearing or sex.
This book was violent in a fantasy way.
This book kept my attention. I wanted more when it was over.
It was fun and interesting.
The reader was good. No irritation there.
This book ended satisfactorily with the promise of more to come.
Will I read the next book? Yes. Maybe not next week, but I will.

I don’t think you can go wrong with a Sanderson novel…it will be the wait for the next book in the series that drives you nuts. He has so many series going, it’s never fast, but oh, so worth it.

What I’m writing now:

I just sent a new novel in a new series to my editor and now I’m editing the next Christy book. I finished accepting and rejecting the initial edits and am now fixing the over 100 items I need to still change. My hope is that I will be done with this edit of the novel by the end of next week. Excited to get this one in your hands. It’s been a long journey to get this one out….especially considering the next one comes out in October…
